The post-COVID world is a strange world. It would feel more strange without DAN VALLERAND. Born and raised in Modesto, CA, DAN has continued to be a fixture in his city's local music scene as far back as 2008 and has written over 405 songs between then and now. He has performed in all sorts of venues not just in the Central Valley, but also in Sacramento, San Francisco, Berkeley, and even in Washington state. DAN was also the winner of the 2016 Modesto Area Music Award for best singer/songwriter. Even to this present day DAN retains both his unique style and charisma and still performs both comedic and serious material.
Before the COVID-19 pandemic struck America, DANNY V released his first single since 2017, "All In/Wanderlust", aided by a few of his friends. This was to begin a shift towards a fresher, saner, richer and more palatable style of music. However, with the advent of the global disaster, this put the brakes on everything and DAN focused his attention on other things, mostly self-care, so as not to go insane during lockdown. During this time, DAN released a brief series of self-help talks called "Spaghetti Time", starred in a local short film that he also made music for, performed a livestream set for ModestoView, and is very close to finishing up writing a sci-fi novel.
DANNY V's plans for 2022 are to pick up where he left off, further the development of his Moldybread Masterworks series, and continue to try and do what he loves the most - entertaining everyone!
DAN VALLERAND's sound is still best described as a mashup between the Electric Light Orchestra, the Beatles, the Beach Boys, Frank Zappa, and Weezer, among many other secondary influences.
